This year we headed to the Grand Finals for the L’Oreal colour trophy with 2 finalists from YOKE.
Amelis smashed her regionals to get a place as a finalist in the main Colour Trophy Category and Eloise gained her place as a finailist for The Star Award.
After collecting Amelia from Glasto we headed up to London for a jam packed day of sorting the models (hair, clothes, make up) for judging on the Sunday morning at L’Oreal HQ followed by a full evening/night of the show and partying.
No wins for Amelia and Eloise but their work was phenomenal and we could not be prouder of what they achieved.
Heres a little roundup of the show from Creative Head…
“The Grand Final also celebrated the 20-year relationship between legendary fashion institution Central Saint Martins and L’Oréal Professionnel Paris with not one but two breath-taking shows. The first presented the work of recent MA Fashion graduates, while a later show brought a collection of MA Fashion All Stars to the catwalk, including designs from Christopher Kane, Simone Rocha, Matty Bovan and Richard Quinn. Both were curated by MA Fashion course director, Fabio Piras.
The all-star vibe extended to the hair team backstage with a mix of stylists each taking a designer’s models to work with. It was an astonishing line-up of talent: Alan Edwards, Alan Edwards; Mark Woolley, Electric; Adam Reed, Adam Reed London; Yesmin O’Brien, Seanhanna; Jack Merrick-Thirlway, Neville Hair & Beauty; Darren Fowler and Vas Mikellides, Fowler35; Andrew Mulvenna, Andrew Mulvenna; Paul Davey, Davey Davey; Sian Quinn and Clare Hansford, Headmasters; Cristiano Basciu, Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa; Jason Hall, Jason Hall Hairdressing; and Johanna Cree Brown, Trevor Sorbie.”
